Frequently Asked Questions

What Questions do you have for us?

We know that there are going to be some questions that come up about our custom processing, retail and wholesale businesses. Find the answers to some of our most frequently asked questions below!

What is the difference between hanging weight and the weight of the product I get?

When you purchase a quarter, half or whole beef you are paying for it on a per pound basis. This weight is calculated by the hanging weight after the internal organs, hooves and hide has been removed.

When you fill out your cut sheet to indicate the cuts that you would like to take home, we break down the beef to meet that order. When we go through the breakdown process, there is trim that consists of excess fat and bones that are removed to meet the specs you have requested and then don't end up in the final box of cut beef you receive.

Why do you not have any prices listed on your website?

Due to the current climate and volatility in pricing we unfortunately aren't able to keep up with price changes on our website. The best way to get the most current pricing is to call into the shop at        (740) 773-7838.
